As harsh as I've been on Moore as a starting QB long-term, I think he may be our best bet this year as a starter. He can hold it down until Cam is ready. If they feel like Cam can come in mid-season the way Freeman did and get similar results, so be it. Or do like The Golden Calf of Bristol did and give him 3-4 games at the end of the season to get his feet wet.

But a day-one starter? I don't think that'd be in his/our long-term best interest.

I can't tell you for the mere fact that if his name leaks out and he is connected to giving inside info out he may lose his job as he is not a high up their guy.

I will tell you however he does work in a certain division for the Panthers and he and I were friends back in the day, he used to live about three houses down from me. It's just ironic that he would be working for the Panthers and I am the only Panther fan where I live.

No. We are QB-less right now. We might as well have lined up without a QB last year. Cam (or whoever) would start day 1.

Fans want a QB, He knows its a QB driven league. He knows QB's put fans in the seats and who is the media darling this year? Cam Newton. Cam = more positive exposure from ESPN, CBS, FOX, NFLN Etc for at least two years. He also knows that Drafting newton = instant PSL and season ticket renewals and will put them at all time high as we have 'FINALLY addressed the QB position with a top talent'.
