5 & 5: Who looks to break out or bust this season?

Good write up.

It is interesting to watch how questioning Otah's threshold for pain (something brought up only in a handful of scouting reports, mainly PFW I believe) has gone from blasphemous vulgarity to commonly accepted board conversation on the Huddle.

I'm going to put Anderson in the high expectations department. He performed well but it was a contract year, can he do it again?

I really, really wanted to put James Anderson on the list as well. Part of me can't help but feel he's nothing more than a solid starting SLB (as if that's a bad thing? ). I think he looked good last year because teams were trying to move the ball away from Beason, and instead ran into the likes of Charles Johnson with James Anderson waiting behind him.

I think Clausen if given another year will shape up and

show us what he can do. He isn't as bad as he looked he was

just overwhelmed by the speed and size of the NFL. He

was thrown into it before he was ready. Now he knows

what to expect and will be better. Manning had a poor 1st year too.

But they had faith in him and he turned out great. Clausen is better

then what he showed last year. Give him one more year.

Honestly, you could just as easily put Gary Barnidge in the "on notice" category.

At some point he's going to have to show that he can be dangerous in season rather than just at OTAs.

In fairness, having at HC and OC that acknowledge the existence of TE's as more than just blockers and ST'ers should help Barny quite a bit.

I'll give you that.

Sometimes I wonder why in the world Fox signed on to getting Barnidge in the first place.
