Not this sh*t AGAIN!!!

Damn back is bad again. I had major surgery 4-5 years ago to correct some slipped discs that were actually pushing into my spinal cord. I was essentially paralyzed from the rib cage down, but the neurosurgeon said everything went well and I should be back to normal.

Other than some pesky swelling that nearly required another procedure I was done, except I stupidly skipped physical rehab.

Well I never have gotten back to normal, tattoorhino and salty can attest to the difficulty I have walking but I'm thankful not to be as bad off as I was- until recently.

Don't know what triggered it, but I'm having very similar symptom to those per surgery in roughly the same area but this time it's getting bad quickly. Saturday we kept for Myrtle Beach and I packed the car, today my wife had to push me around in a wheelchair to get around barefoot Landing.

I have an appt with my chiro on Monday, but know he can probably only offer me temporary pain relief. I'm about 100% certain I'll be heading back under the knife for another excruciating surgery and long recovery.

The guy who did the last operation doesn't appear to be with this practice anymore, so it'll be interesting to find out what happened to him and if there's any logical connection to my lack of proper recovery.

As if I haven't asked enough times, please keep me and my wife in your prayers as we fight this battle again.

Thanks,

John

Man, I guess I am lucky. Never have had any kind of health problems. I suppose I will just fall over dead one day.

Good luck though.

I second this...never broke a bone in my body. But I have heard the more healthy you are as a youngin, the more problems you will have in the future.

The back is a tough one. When I was a young man I always asked guys who were retiring and healthy how they made it and most of the answers were to take care of your back.

I have always done that but maybe I should have payed attention to my waistline too.
