Emerald Isle (Bogue Inlet)...Oak Island (saltwater)

Chowan River or Jordan Lake...whenever I have a kayak to use (freshwater)

I bum my bro-in-laws. There's a big group out of Greensboro you could hook up with to go on one of the big trips. They usually even have equipment you could borrow.

nah. I live up in NY. I've thought about getting into it, just never have had the overhead. Know a couple of guys in jersey who skish, never had the balls to go out for that.

Had my '17 touring kayak out at Cape Lookout last fall and got into a pod of dolphin. They swam around my boat for 5 minutes or so but it seemed like it was an hour. A couple times I thought I was going to be able to touch one and had one bump my boat once but they were always just out of reach.

I was so amazed by it it nearly brought me to tears.

Yeah...it's very cool. Heard a pfoosh...and one had surfaced not 10 feet from me and went under the kayak. Hung out for a few seconds then took off. I patted the water but they didn't come up. I believe those kids were full of s**t on Flipper.
