The 2011 Mock Draft on the site wasn't updated in about 3 weeks.

I don't think that is what they meant, they just decided to do a mock if draft order stayed the same.

The 2011 Mock Draft on the site wasn't updated in about 3 weeks.

it looks more like a mock from january. back when everybody had fairley going #1 now he's hardly ever mentioned anymore.

So we take Darius, or Peterson, or Green and stick with Clausen for another year. He doesn't show the potential to be a franchise QB, but improves enough to get us to 6-10, which has us picking 7th in the draft.

Unfortunately, Luck, Barkley and Jones end up going 1st, 3rd and 6th, leaving us once again without a quarterback. Now we have passed on a chance to draft a QB with the potential to be a franchise QB in the hopes of waiting a year to get one that's more "NFL ready" because we were scared that the QB from the previous year might bust.

The point is that you can't pin your hopes on drafting a better qb prospect in a future draft because there is no guarantee that you will have the opportunity.
