the other alternative is we don't consider it a big deal that it's true and Hurney doesn't want to admit to the world that it is because that rapes Cam's draft stock for other teams. We did draft Clausen despite nearly identical complaints about him (relating to personality & leadership).

I doubt that the Cam complaints are all legit but there is probably some truth in there some place, just like there was with Clausen.

I gotta laugh at folks thinking Hurney would openly acknowledge concerns he had about Newton with the number one pick in play. Hurney could privately think "I wouldn't touch this kid with a ten foot pole" but would still speak glowingly when asked.

Could it be they honestly love Newton? Sure, but thinking you're gonna know that from a radio interview is pretty naive.

As to his comments about Nawrocki, also not a surprise. Said many times that pro teams don't listen to media scouts (nor should they).

That's highly selective. Sounds more like a witchhunt then having any real issues with people's character.
