Carolina Hurricanes Mt. Rushmore

Yes there has been plenty of postings in the football section of ESPN's NC Mt. Rushmore, Panther MT. Rushmore and I believe even a huddle MT. Rushmore but now us Canes fans have our own Mt. Rushmore thanks to Buccigross of ESPN.

Carolina Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers

The team: Rod Brind'Amour, Kevin Dineen, Ron Francis and Eric Staal.

The theory: Francis is hockey royalty, the greatest Whale of them all. Dineen is hockey heart and soul. Staal is a stallion on skates. Brind'Amour is a coach's dream, the ultimate self-motivator.

Can't argue too much about the list except maybe switching out Dineen in my opinion for one of the below:

Irbe, still the most wins for a goalie in our franchise and was a huge factor in our franchises early success.

Ward, won the Smythe and a cup, is young like Staal and a face of the franchise, in the future will probrably pass Irbe

Francis, Brind'Amour, Wesley and Irbe.

Staal could be in for Wesley or Irbe.
