My 6 year old finally said those dreaded words to me when he learned I was out of town again this week. "Dad, I hate your job because it makes you miss all my stuff."

Get back late tomorrow night and don't hit the road again for a week.

I had to travel a lot when my daughter was 3-7 - I don't think as much as you do though. But for 5 months before I got that job I was unemployed and played stay at home dad so that helped.

I'm sure your wifes boyfriend is taking up the slack so don't worry.

That sucks bro. My oldest daughter told my girlfriend " Daddy dont love me anymore" because I took my youngest daughter out by herself about a month ago. I got really teary eyed when I heard that. It sucked!

My dad worked all over the US as a VP for Alliance Tractor Trailer Training Center. My mom was the one that took me to all my football practices, and games. He never came to any because of his job. Honestly...it affected me. But my dad is one of my major role models now. I strive to be like him. I understood as I got older. Hope this helps a little bro.
