You can trade Peppers for...

The Answer

From what i read (i may be wrong) when we tag peppers and trade him if that team then signs him to a long term deal we then recieve the next 2 first round picks from that team..............if true would be big in the future

That's the going exchange rate yes. But in order for the trade to go through, the franchising team could agree to less. See Allen from KC to Minn trade last year.

Nope, Pretty much we would workout a agreement with the other team and release the Franchise tag. We would get whatever we agreed with the other team. The two first round picks would be if they signed him too a contract without us agreeing.

Correct.

do u guys think the panthers would throw in lucas and hackett or possibly another combination of playes that likely will be gettin cut neways to get even more compensation for pep?

Interesting question. Kudos. And I wouldn't put it pass Hurney to try to pull something like this. Only problem I see is that we would have to keep them on the team and include their salary cap number until the trade is made.

If we can manage that, I can see it happenning.

Again, that's something I can see Hurney pulling off.

not a bad idea, but can you even think of any multi-player trades in the past several years?
