fortunately for Mallet his allegations aren't serious to gain national media attention all day everyday. The world is concerned with the war on stolen laptops and test cheating not drugs:rolleyes: McGay and Kiper still think he's a top QB and should in the 1st. No reports about him being a con artist so no need to defend him.

Pretty sure those are national media...Not everyday all day, but most already have him in Ryan Leaf Bust range before playing a down because of all this. No matter where he is drafted he has the label. Mallet has big time accuracy issues and not to mention worse character issues than Cam. Mallet reminds me of Delhomme pre-2006. When he is hot, he is on fire, but when he is off it is bad bad.

During the combine mallett's supposed issues were a pretty big deal, especially when he told reporters he wouldn't talk about them at all. It was publicized quite a bit but considering nobody really took him seriously as the #1 prospect, it just didn't generate the same kind of interest on this forum.

You confuse lack of discussion on this board with lack of media attention.

Oh I watch alot of NFL coverage and I've seen and heard about Mallet maybe twice. I don't go around searching for buried articles on Mallet because I doubt he's gonna be picked by us. Just imagine if Cam had those rumors of cocaine about him. Aw man, he wouldnt even be in the discussion of being drafted let alone the first round. They tried to classify Cam as a late 1st to second rounder at first. Then they criticize him for having a private work out to boost his stock to where it should be instead of letting the media bury him into bottom of the draft.

No QB might not be #1 overall, but this team has to select a QB in this draft. They cannot afford to sit on their hands and pray a franchise QB is coming to them. That's what got this team in the sorry state that they're in right now.

Your right. Just by sheer force of will, a QB in this draft will become a franchise guy

WTF are you talking about? :puke:

So you let drug allegations fly unchecked, even talk about them yourself, but defend less serious accusations.

You said, and I quote, "I'd defend a white person just as hard if the shoe was on the other foot."

Defend.

that was sarcasm I actually wasn't concerned with his allegations I was more concerned with that amazing arm they talked about. I'm pretty sure if you search through my posts (which I know you wont) you'll find me giving him credit and suggesting him over Gabbert.

So here's a set of quarterback reviews cut and pasted from Pro Football Weekly Draft Previews written by Nolan Nawrocki between 2007 and 2010.

See if you can tell me which ones were about black quarterbacks and which were about white ones.

If Nawrocki is actually racist - as has been suggested - then it should be pretty easy to tell, right?

Right? :sosp:

Of course, for those who don't take the topic quite so seriously, you can also have fun just seeing if you can tell who's who

(fourteen total questions; extra points if you can identify who he was actually writing about; hint: not all are starters)

The problem with your argument is that he personally attacked cam Newton as a man and not as a football player. Nawrocki sounded as if he has a personal vendetta against Cam Newton. His draft preview of CN was not way out of line. If Nawrocki believes these things, as a writer, he could have presented them in a better way that was much less personally motivated rants.

Nowrocki sounds as if maybe he was bullied by a guy in high school who reminds him of Cam and this is his way of revenge. To personally attack rather than write a constructive article that outlined the potential negative attributes Cam may possess.

Actually, he is

I don't think we're seriously considering taking him if that's what your saying..

But that isn't my point.

My point is that the media doesn't view Mallett as a number one prospect, therefore he doesn't garner as much attention as Newton. Which is was some people here whining about.
