Trade down is the best option period.

I agree... trading down is the best option...

There isn't a player in this draft worthy of even a top 3 pick in years past...

But you can't just let the clock tick out and pick them second, either...

Wouldn't that be a neat idea though... get all the owners together and let the clock expire on all the first 10 picks to make a statement to the players, then hand each pick in in order before team 11 makes their pick...

this reminds me of the time my buddy tried to give me a 12 pack of "quality" beer.

I asked why he wanted to get rid of approx 20 bucks worth of beer for free. He finally admitted it tastes like ass.

"Hey NFL, anybody want the pootiest #1 pick in years, real cheap!"

hahaha

Sell it to Highland dude, he will give you $40 for it.

So which team is offering us their 1st, 2nd and 1st next year exactly?

Any team in Never-Never Land.

I would love to New England Patriots somebody, but what really pisses me off is all the genius' with these great ideas are gonna be whining on here why we didnt trade when its all said and done.

:iamwithstupid:

The deal with this year is not necessarily not being able to trade out but the compensation being less than usual given the situation

While I agreed that this would be the best option, it isn't really an option...

If we don't really want to pick anyone at #1, chances are another team won't want to bad enough either... If we could trade down, we wouldn't get the value of the risk we'd be taking by staying put... so you take that gamble and hope it pays off...

It just sucks for us that we are in this position without pick #33 as a fallback option...

Best and most realistic trade would be to someone in the 6-10 range and pick up their 2nd rounder. I still would call that a victory.

Hell yes, that is what would happen in my perfect world... but with our luck we'll stay put and blow the pick on a player that won't pan out, and we'll be in the same position for years...

Highland is quickly becoming one of the worst posters on here.

let's divert the thread then, shall we?

What do you think of Niles Paul? I took him for the Bears in the 5th round of our fantasy mock draft...

If he can get more consistent with his hands, do you think he has a future in the league?

I'd say a smart move would be to stay put and

take Gabbert. He is the most NFL ready QB and flat

out better then Newton. OR the smartest move would

be to take Dareus he will be instant firepower on the d-side

of the ball. He too is NFL ready at 6'3" and 320# a human wrecking ball.
