Tebow>Newton?

Ok.

So The Golden Calf of Bristol goes 25th and Newton may go 1st. Let's redirect the debate.

If The Golden Calf of Bristol is the better QB (Florida believe so and stats say so), then why would we take Newton with the 1st pick in the draft? It's really crazy to me.

It's a bad QB year and most of the more well respected draft guys don't put Newton near the #1 pick. It's mostly just fans, who fortunately don't make the pick.

you can argue The Golden Calf of Bristol was a better college QB than EVERY single QB playing in the NFL. Better than Brees, Manning, Brady, Big Ben, etc, etc.

Newton has a bigger upside than The Golden Calf of Bristol at the next level.

The Golden Calf of Bristol had 350 passing attempts 66.9% complete . 210 rushing attempts 4.3 yards per carry. 55 total TDs

Newton had 280 passing attempts 66.1% complete. 265 rushing attempts 5.6 yards per carry. 49 total TDs.

Florida didn't think so.

I thought we determined months ago that college production means nothing.

just like the combine, pro days, and workouts.

this scientific process really just boils down to personal opinion based on 5th party internet info with a touch of bias thrown in.

Florida didn't think what?

Florida ain't the next level.....Florida was college ball. Like I said, you can argue The Golden Calf of Bristol was better in college than any QB playing in the NFL today. Cam has more upside going to the next level than The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Newton only played 1 year in college. The Golden Calf of Bristol played 3.5. Newton backed up The Golden Calf of Bristol for 2 years while The Golden Calf of Bristol won National Championships and his 2008 and 2009 stats were almost as good as 2007.

How does Newton have bigger upside? He has never produced as much as The Golden Calf of Bristol, he was The Golden Calf of Bristol's backup and he only proved himself for 1 college season? Newton has more potential to be a BUST.

The Golden Calf of Bristol was god in florida. Newton knew he would never take over The Golden Calf of Bristol spot even if he had beat him out for the spot.

Funny. His stats didn't show it the one year he was the man. Newton's best attribute was his rushing yardage. We have Williams and Stewart, who I would dare say are better at rushing the ball than Newton. Why do we want this guy again?
