"One of them has to go to Carolina at #1" Mayock on QBs

Yes but for our team that year, it was actually below average.

You don't have to consider how often we run the ball or the way our team was built, but you should.

yea but you took out the fuging giants game to make moore look better. considering all games the running game for moore was outstanding, not counting it the stats are still very good, borderline elite, and other teams that do center their offense around the running game can't get up to 140/game.

2010 was a clusterfug for the whole team and you could argue that he was set up to fail

It was surely a terrible year. Too bad Moore was so bad, I think most of us had high hopes for him. He mightbe back from surgery but it is hard to trust the offense to him at this point.

If we draft a QB and find a vet via FA Moore's done here. If we don't find a vet he has a chance. I don't think Moore is garbage, but I think if they have to choose between Moore and Clausen he's out. Pike might be on the practice squad.

No one is asking to trust the offense to him.

Give him a chance in camp to compete, which it seems the FO is set on doing, and go from there.

I personally think he'll win those camp battles.

Others may disagree but by no means am I saying he should be handed the job

KoolKatLuke? Check

Raging Bull? Check

Teeray? Check

Panthers55? Check

Just waiting on LPF and a few others

TRD don't get your panties in a bind. I was talking more about the guy saying we should just name him the starter not that he sucks. I would like too see him compete for the job not given the job again. That didn't work out the last time.

I actually don't disagree with this. He is better than Clausen IMO and if we are bent on sitting a new QB if we get one and the rfa tags hold up I could see him starting next year. I just don't think he is a long term solution just bc he had two good games and 3 okay ones in 2009 when we were already busted.

He executed the gameplan he was given by Fox to near perfection. You can't ask much more from him.

With a new offensive scheme that seems to fit his talents better, it would seem to me that he will again look like a good NFL QB.

Plus he's only 26 so it's not like he's at the end of his run.

Only place we disagree is I don't think he wins a camp battle if we bring in a another viable vet and Clausen is in the mix.

    • Well said.  we usually develop our opinions based on the websites we frequent, highlight reels, discussion boards, and NFL Network.  In that process, we call ourselves "informed," but we really are not.  Unfortunately, neither are the experts.  It still blows my mind that first rounders have successful careers 53% of the time, and second rounders are about half of that. So as hard as we (and they) pound the table for this player or that player, it is a crap shoot in the first round and in the second, it is worse than the odds playing craps in Vegas.  And they (the experts) have combines and pro days and interviews etc.  and they still suck at it. All that to say, I am wrong as much as the GMs are-that should make me feel good, but it does not.  You have to recall who you pounded the table for in the drafts four or five years ago and see where they are now. Acting like I know and they do not is stupid, so I hope that they see what I cannot.  I think the best chance of hitting a home run in round 1:  Jeanty.
    • I think i would be happy with 7 wins personally, at least I would know we going in the right direction
