The one thing I didnt understand was that whenever we used nickel packages, Fox always put Captain on the end not in the slot. Marshall was always the slot corner. I think Munnerlyn would be much better if he was actually where his size helps out.

stats only tell you so much. watch him play. He's good as our third corner but he just isn't an every down corner. There are some receivers he just flat out couldn't cover.

I'm not saying he is an all star corner, just that he is a starting caliber CB.

Meaning he spent a lot of time covering #1 or #2 receivers... hmmm...

In all seriousness, he played some solid ball when Gamble was "hurt" at the end of the season. They could do, and have done, much worse. Anyone else remember those studs Terry Cousin and Reggie Howard carrying Carolina to the Super Bowl?
