This, my friends, is why this lockout won't last. Things like this aren't rare; I'd be willing to bet a large majority of players are already struggling with bills. Sure, the "face" of the players side consists of the "stars" like Brady, Manning, etc. The guys who make millions per year and (probably) aren't going to be struggling for money, but over the next few months, several of these stories will be coming out on players who are deep in debt and desperately need a paycheck.

I'm being neutral here, not taking either side, but the owners have been preparing for this for years. They can afford to hold out, while the vast majority of the players can't.

well according to Jason Babin of the titans in the Esquire article (that also featured RJ Sanford) ........they'll take care of their own.

I don't have sympathy for these guys who get more with a minimum nfl check then the majority of America will ever get. If you can't figure out how to invest and save all that money then boo hoo. They get at MINIMUM $200,000, while people like my girlfriend are that much in DEBT just to get a college education.
