Poll: Who do you take at #65...

Drake Nevis...alot of people have dropped him down their boards because he was around 290 and is 6'1 or 6'2. being 6'2, and weighing 290 isnt good. but he bulked up to 298 or something like that for his pro day and ran a faster 40 than he did at the combine.

I'm guessing the OP is assuming that the 1st overall will be a QB considering that Ponder, Dalton and Kaepernick are all expected to be available in the 3rd round. I'm also suprised that Marvin Austin DT UNC isn't list in the poll. Same as Curtis Brown CB Texas (drafttek.com has us taking Brown with #65).

With the reports that several teams are QB desperate in the 1st round of the draft, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Panthers to trade down and pick up some more picks that would allow them to draft Ponder. Dalton or Kaepernick (maybe even in the 2nd round).

And I really like Austin in the 3rd round even if the Panthers draft a DT in the 1st. He reminds me of Kris Jenkins actually, additude and all.

But if I had to choose from the list above, I'd probably go with Marcus Cannon. I realy like him but have only seen him listed as a early 2nd round pick. I actually think he could be a starter at RG as a rookie and with his size, Cannon and Otah would be a BIG combo on that right side.

Why would we draft a kicker in the 3rd ROUND? maybe 4th but not third.

Why?? I'll tell you why.

Because kickers win close ball games. You need

a trustworthy kicker to keep you in and win close

ball games. They give you field position and win

the close games. Nuf said. Get a top tier kicker.
