All this talk about bringing in a vet qb has me thinking...

Jake was the closest thing we have had to a franchise quarterback but the key word is was. I would like for him to finish his career as a Carolina Panther. But I was thinking more a one day signing and his retirement, not as a veteran backup. He doesn't have a future here anymore. It doesn't diminish all he meant to us though. One heck of a player who elevated everyone around him.

I think it would be a great idea. If you wanted a true mentor who could teach a young guy to do things the right way there actually isn't a better person in the NFL to do that.

People want a vet at QB on the free agent market he may be the best one out there that would actually possibly come here.

Having said all that I would be less surprised if I woke up in the morning with my hair sewn to the carpet than if we actually brought Jake Delhomme back.
