A guy I work with went there to haiti. Went with a church mission to build beds for an orphanage that got destroyed. Pretty hopeless out there.

Ya its sad. What's also sad is the stuff we don't see on TV. Like Pakistan. Before me and my wife got married she went there during the earthquake. She is a nurse and told me she saw the craziest shiit she has ever seen.

Like you said....our problems are minute.

Not meaning your problem is Minute Joat. Just in general buddy. Hope all is well.

JOAT, as others have said, trust in your faith, but get a second opinion.

Having said that, this...

Life throws us all difficult situations. Although raising your own offspring is rewarding, there is something noble about those who adopt and are good parents. If the risk of the pregnancy isn't worth the hell it would put on your wife, I would call it good with one kid or adopt. It sounds as if you have already decided what to do and just need a third party to vent to.

Is truly something you might want to consider.

In December 1971, an 18 year old named Mary went to have an abortion. There was a storm that day & the power went out so, they rescheduled. On that next day the needle broke. Mary decided that baseball didn't apply so with 2 strikes she decided on adoption instead. June 1972 she had me.

6 weeks later, after some interesting manipulations, I went home with a brick mason & a teacher. If I had been able to chose them, I would have failed to chose better. The few times I play the lottery, I laugh because I can't win... because I already did in June of '72.

Best of luck to you JOAT in a really difficult time. My wife and I were told by a reproductive endocrinologist that we'd likely need lots of help getting pregnant, and that there was a slim chance we'd be able to do it without help.

The news was, of course, devastating. Little did we know we were pregnant on our second visit without intervention. Good surprises do happen. Hopefully you and your wife will get one soon.
