Schefter Per ESPN Insider: Sources Say Carolina Goes Cam

As far as the "worst" qb class, based on what? If it's that all are projects, well no shiit. Even the great once in a decade prospect Andrew Luck would have been a project.

No QB is going to come in and meet our fans expectations of immediate Superbowl.

Luck was not a project. He would have things he needed to improve upon but he is not a project like everyone else in this draft is.

No fans have those expectations. We would expect a #1 pick QB to come in and play if required and be able to hold their own and none in this class really have that ability.

LOL really?

You know those are college awards right? Do we have to revisit the Heisman argument again?

OK if Luck was sooo much better than this guy, why didn't he get some of the trophies. This kid cleaned them all up along with a championship. Luck and Newton were by far the best QBs in college this year so while we aren't getting exactly what we wanted we are getting someone damn good.

The Panthers taking Cam as seriously as the rest of the NFL is not as stupid as our resident huddle experts would think, they marvel over this guy. The team has way more access to him, his teammates, and his coaches than anybody. If they think he's a game changer they may be right, and I can respect that.

Luck is a very good college QB and Cam was a great college QB. Everyone is in love with Luck because he had the tools that would transition to the NFL while Newton had to develop those tools. It was more about how Luck was projected to play in the NFL versus Newton, not what they each did in college.

??? from you?!? Lol

I was on the Luck wagon all year but always heard about this Cam Newton all the time. Watched some games and was as amazed as other people were. SC,LSU, Oregon were all strong teams that did not have an answer for the guy, running or throwing.

That's why I heard some stuff and dismiss it as trash because the kid is as talented as anybody that has come out out in years. He's a player with great instincts.

If he busts a lot of people would be surprised. He won't be there past #3. That would indicate he's a player of great value by the experts standards. Good enough for me.

I get labeled a hater because I point out the flaws in his game transitioning to the NFL but people ignore all the props I give him so eventually I found it was more fun and easier to just have some fun with it.

There is no doubt he is a great college QB and anyone who says otherwise is just dumb. The whole point of discussing him is how we think he will transition to the NFL and I just don't think it will be as easy as others do.

I think it's pretty split between people that would be surprised if he busts and surprised if he makes it. He is the definition of boom or bust pick.

He has a lot of raw ability but in the NFL it takes more than that to succeed so it all depends on if he can sharpen those skills to a level that will allow him to be successful in the NFL.

No, he didn't actually have to hear anything.

That's the thing about these insider guys. They can say pretty much whatever and attribute it to "sources" (which as often as not turn out to be someone's agent, if anyone at all).

As mentioned above, the decision isn't even made, and the debates haven't even happened.

Don't be surprised if his view shifts again before draft day (maybe even more than once).

^^^^of course this is not speculation....hmmm..Mr. Scot: Huddle message board icon or Adam Schefter....which one do I follow on the twitter?

According to huddle logic..anyone that gets paid to give "Insider" info...Analyze draftees...like a longsnapper from Idaho..and breaks down their film on their website....gives their opinion on Pro ready players...are ALL FOOLS and making stuff up!! Its just funny...it may will be speculation ...but Schefter does not get a bonus for earthing anything Carolina Panthers...if so it would be Jerry Jones updates every five minutes.

wtf?

any insider or draft guy gets bombed like you do if other posters on the huddle do not agree. People miss in this...its a guessing game..smokescreens and misinformation are given to these guys all the time.

The Huddlers all jump down these guys and Mr. Scot even...then he speculates in his own post that Schefter did not hear anything and no decisions have been made... umm thanks Jerry Richardson?..or Mr. Scot. ...

This is not an attack of Mr.Scot by any means..just that there apparently is not one draft guy...or insider that isn't an idiot to Huddle message board guys...gets old to hear.

It's multiple places on this board that Hurney said no decision has been made yet.

Is he coachable?!
