The best thing too do for the QB position is still bring in a VET.

Ha, well considering you make about 15% of all the posts on here, stalking is absolutely impossible.

With regards to whether or not I think Moore is better than anyone, sure. I don't think he's good enough to start a game. I'd pick him over dozens of QBs but I would feel pretty bad hearing his name coming out of the tunnel.

Half the problem is too many people put a label on a guy like Matt, UNDRAFTED. It made too many people forget what kind of potential he really has. I challenge any haters to get their hands on game film and breakdown his game. He didn't play as bad as many people will have you believe. 3 horrible decisions turned into pics. The 2 second half ints vs Giants and the late pick vs 49ers. Other than that, if you watch each offensive play, which I did every week. I can tell you Moore has what it takes to win. He had the same bad team around him and did good things with it. He only had 5 starts and only 3 complete games. But he consistently moved the ball and included a career best in a win vs 49ers. All the Clausen hype ruined his fair shot with his team, hence the benching in favor of Clausen 7 quarters into the season. Give me a fuggin break! Give Matt a fuggin break!

It will play out like this. We draft a QB in the first round and another team will offer Matt

a 3 year deal for at least backup money. Panther will match he will stay. Matt will really have to have an outstanding camp to start in front of a 1st rounder.

OR

Same 3 year offer scenario and we bring in a vet to compete. Matt earns the starting job much to the dismay of many haters.

All predicated on a CBA agreement.

Hatter is right. It isn't about losing a veteran or two but losing virtually all your veteran leeadership with no stabalizing forces when the injuries and issues develop. Sure we had injuries, poor play and a group of guys witth little experience but we also had no guys like Moose and Hoover for example who provided great locker room presence and elevated their game and those around them.

I predicted we would be awful with the veteran purge and I am no Kreskin. It was obvious that young teams are even more in need of veteran leadership than teams with more overall experience. I find it hard to believe we are still debating this idea. It seems self evident to even a casual fan.
