JR will be on "Panthers Pulse" with Hurney tonight

I just listened to the podcast... JR's comments were much more succinct and organized than his comments/thoughts in the press conference which is more evidence to support the idea that press conference just are not his thing.

I honestly think he was trying to soften the blow in that press conference by giving Morgan a hard time, asking reporters for names, etc... but it just didn't come off right.

Here are the "highlights" IMO:

JR said after 2009 season, JR ordered Marty to start thinking more "long term"... JR felt he had been too impatient by going out and getting FA's. He said Fox was in agreement with this decision.

Hurney said the commitment to winning is stronger than ever and nobody in the organization thought they would go 2-14 last year. Hurney says the criticism of Clausen's performance last year has been unfair.

The host asked JR if the football moves they made last year had anything to do with the CBA, in terms of being able to retain employees, etc... JR said the football decisions they made last year had nothing to do with the CBA.

Fox said that? Or was it Hurney who agreed with JR?

Have a hard time believing Fox said that since JR admitted in the press conference something we all have known for 5 + years: Fox trusted vets the most and hindered the youngsters sometimes because of that philosophy.

JR said Fox was in agreement after the 2009 season that it was time to start thinking more "long term" (i.e. rebuilding).

BULL CRAP. You dont dump/eat that much salary unless its an uncapped year (due to the CBA being opted out.) So whether they want to admit it or not the CBA ALWAYS effects football moves either in its presence, absence, or limbo.

fu*king A im getting sick of these guys not being honest with us on the big issues.
