Heck, I've even heard of people crying at some episodes of "Scrubs".

This.

It's a trick, they get you laughing and then when the sad poo starts it's impossible to not feel the emotion. Once you let one emotion go, all the others come with it. There was an awesome one where Dr. Cox lost a bunch of patients that he had gotten transplants for or something, I can't fully remember, but whenever Cox loses his poo on that show, you're not far behind.

Best one I've seen for emotion and almost tear-jerker status: The Brendan Frasier Episode in Season 3: "My Screw Up" where Cox set up his kid's first birthday party, and forces his his brother-in-law/best friend (Frasier) to have JD run some long overdue tests on his Leukemia. One of JD's patients dies, and Cox blames him for the death, then takes over his workload. Really an excellently written episode if you've never seen it, and I suggest you catch it if you can.

Not having read everything this might be a duplicate.

The old folks scene in the Twilight Zone movie. Scatman Carothers. That mini movie totally gets too me.

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. Hands down. Rain Man.

Simon Birch
