Holy shiz! I think I just now understood why that got to me! I was raised by a single mom, like John. Him losing Arnold is like losing his father figure he never had.

I think I just had a BREAKTHROUGH!!!

Laugh at me all you want ... but there is one scene in a certain movie that makes me cry, and I have seen it a thousand times.

In The Rookie, when Jim calls home to tell the family he is getting called up to the big leagues and tells his wife to bring his blue sport coat to Arlington and says to her, "tell everyone," and she replies, "you just have to tell one person first" and puts their little boy on the phone. When he tells his son I start crying.

"Up' got me. The 'tell me I'm a good man' scene from "Saving Private Ryan" hit me hard, but didn't quite make me cry. "Green Mile" got me pretty close. "Titanic" too.

Buddy of mine and I were trying hard to convince our respective spouses that we weren't crying at the end of "Big Fish". They didn't buy it :lol:

Another friend of mine cried his eyes out watching "Dad" with Jack Lemmon.

"Green Mile" got me. Also, "The Notebook." "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" makes me cry my eyes out (especially since I've had a lot of mentally-ill people in my family). It's one of my favorites.

I'm sure there are plenty of others.

For the record: Signature bets aside, I did not cry at "The Notebook". Nor did I proclaim it to be the best movie ever :lol:
