John Fox on Armanti Edwards....

Seifert was a complete washout who wanted nothing more than to "drink a Coors Light while sitting in the cheap seats at Candlestick (former SF stadium)", those were his words. Seifert collected a check and that was it. Smith was held back by Seifert and not allowed to break into the WR starting lineup.

You should really study your Panther history before typing.

Riddle say all you want about his coaching (which sucked) but his last draft is the best in this team history. Smith is not here if Seifert doesn't drafted him. He played some offense his rookie year but remeber you still had Walls here who was still a focus of this offense. Plus a rookie QB in Wenkie who would go too the vets like Walls and Moose before Smith. Again name one Wr that develop under his coaching????

Delhomme was here for 8 of those years and only 1 of those 8 years was Delhomme's head called for. Why should Fox have to produce another QB, when he had a 1 time Probowl/ 1 time Superbowl/ 2 time NFC Championship?

King was a servicable TE. TE was never emphasized in the Panther's offense, blame Davidson.

As far as I'm concerned, Steve Smith developed under Fox. Seifert wouldn't even let him crack the starting lineup.

They didn't stop drafting and bringing in FA QB in those 8 years.

No Fox spin on that one. He is 100% correct

Word. I swear many of you folks already said AE was a waste & we shouldn't got him. Now you're saying AE is good & Fox shouldn't say the same thing compare you who said AE was a wasted pick?? Some are flip flopping like John Kerry. ;)

LOL @ Fox acting like he can evaluate talent. Fug that guy.

I believe he help evaluated Peppers, Beason, Williams, Otah, Gross, Stewart, Davis, etc. Fail! :D

This thread is just like I expected it.

Bunch of pathetic jackasses using it as a platform to spew their john fox hate.

Fox was asked a question, he answered it. That doesn't make him a dick.

I'm more embarrassed by you fans that think you have a clue, than I was by our team finishing 2-14 last season.

Biggest group of fuging whiners I've ever seen in my life. Y'all should be proud.

You can say that again.

Hmmm...I believe Gross, Wharton, Kalil, Stewart and Williams developed pretty damn well under Fox, even though it was not his job to personally develop those individual players in the first place.

Some of you people are just bitter assholes, who will never give Fox credit for anything, even though he is the most successful coach in the Panthers short history.

Sure, it was time for Fox to go and give somebody else a chance to get it done, but there is no reason to be so damn bitter and take it so personally that Fox had a bad last year here. It's not like he planned to go 2-14 just to piss you all off.

What really amazes me here, is that so many of you folks that hate John Fox with a passion for being too conservative, will argue until you're blue in the face that going with some veteran scrub at QB is the best way to go, because it's safer (aka more conservative) than drafting a QB.

Said the same like panthersclaw. Bravo.

I see nothing wrong with what Fox said. He was right with how AE look so far. It's not his fault AE hasn't show anything when LaFell & Gettis has. What does that tell you about the so-call excuses "Fox doesn't like rookies" some made up? Beside, he was being brutally honest & frank. All he just said he think it was a waste pick & he is right, since some of you felt the same thing until your change your mind after reading what Fox said. Don't deny it. The thing is AE need to improve & show us he can get better, but right now Fox is correct.

it's because he is a disingenuous noncommittal ass, and now that he's got a fancy little kush job in mile high denver, he's going to talk poo about this organization, when last year while he was being paid his ridiculously overpaid salary you couldn't get a comment like this out of him. Okay? That is why people like me despise Fox.

now that he's got a good vantage point for himself and no ties to this organization he's going to spout off at the mouth with poo he wouldn't have made a peep while he was still under contract. He's so goddamn transparent I don't understand why people act like he is the real article, just because he got us some success early in his career when he had to establish himself.

So that doesn't bother you that he's criticizing this organization when he wouldn't have the balls to speak out of line so specifically when Richardson was signing his checks?

I'm sure most people don't talk bad about the organization that employs them. Once they leave the organization sometimes they do. Fox isn't the first, won't be the last. Again Fox opinion shouldn't matter. He could say we are the worst team in the league and have absolutely no talent at all. Would that bother me? No because his opinion doesn't affect the Panthers one way or the other.

Oh wow look my feelings on the issue exactly.

Also random FoxFact™ : Panthers playoff wins in Fox's final five seasons in Carolina? Goose egg. Yeah he had some great early success with us and gave us some unforgettable memories, but a lot of people are starting to sound like that guy we all know who puts his first fug on a pedestal. Now he sits on his smug ass in Denver talking about his old team tying his hands when he was handed one of the highest paid and most talented rosters year after year for most of the latter 2000s only to slam DeShaun Foster up the middle for two yards three times when up 6 early in the 3rd quarter and send Keyshawn Johnson on streak routes off play action on 3rd and long.

Don't give me that poo about Dan Henning either. Henning has "fall guy" written all over him.

The problem is you can make that statement when you did all you can too develop that player. But like reports have said Fox threw a kid out their who had little too no exp. playing KR,PR, and WR and when he didn't perform put him in the cellar.

I'm not saying it does matter. I just find it pathetic the way he deals.

Whether or not Armanti will suck really doesn't matter to me in this regard. It's the fact that he wants to open his stupid mouth with an opinion when he would've acted like an oaf if asked the same question in october, and i wouldn't be the least surprised if it was documented somewhere when asked about Edwards last season he danced around the question.

What he's doing right now confirms every suspicion i've had about him in the past that he's a sackless snake in the grass
