08:12 AM ET 03.23 | Larry Brown is back in the news, and he's taking Allen Iverson with him. If anyone knows the polarizing Iverson it would be Brown, who coached "The Answer" from 1997-2003. Brown would like to see Iverson finish his career in the NBA and hopes one team will provide one last opportunity for the guard to finish his career the right way after failing to make anything out of his stint in Turkey. ... "Before I got fired I went to the NBA coaches' meeting ... a lot of the NBA people, the executives that were there, talked to me about trying to figure out a way to get Allen to finish out his career in our league. He wanted to come with me [Allen Iverson], but Michael [Jordan] didn't think it the right thing to do because we had young guards and he wanted them to develop. I think for him to end his career in Turkey after what he did for our league is tragic."

Brooke Lopez then Iverson, Im glad Jordan manned up and canned Larry.

Larry Brown was developing young guards?????

He did say Jordan wanted to develope the young guards.

Iverson wouldnt have hurt this team at all. If anyone was going to get anything out of him it would have been Larry Brown.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
