Jim Harbaugh on Cam Newton

I thought I saw someone saying Newton played in a great conference and won and how Luck played in a bad conference. could have read it wrong, I just skim these types of threads.

What, who in the hell would say the SEC is a great conference? PAc-10? Where the in the hell would someone get that from:rolleyes:

I clearly said he's a second round talent at best, but someone will reach for him, which is still true.

What I was talking about with the "experts and professionals" was my analysis of his game, not really his draft stock. The strengths and weaknesses of his actual ability. Things I called weaknesses were later realized by the likes of Mayock, Kiper, McShay, Brooks, etc.

The fact that you need to rely on some manipulated statistic to avoid Cam being labeled something that he is shows a lot about you.

You promise you will leave after April? Honestly the only people that actually understand what you say are the guys that have Cam's dick so far down their throat they can't speak for themselves. Once they leave after the draft you will be the new Catdaddy, the new Blackcat, the new KoolKat, the poster that everyone fugging hates and wishes would somehow find a way to unlearn the internet.

What did you ever say that was so groundbreaking the like of McShay, Mayock, etc. didn't say before the process even began.

You flatter yourself.

And I do not give a fug whether you like me or not. The fact you even put your self worth on whether certain people on a message board think you are cute or clever is sad.

I have actually been nice to you for the most part and yet you continue to act like a petulant child.

That says more about you than me.

I think the trd and a lot of these people really like Cam Newton. I bet if we draft and he he plays good they'll be hating. :eek:yes hating if you can watch tape of Cam Newton and tell me he can't throw that is hating.

First of all did you just refer to me as "The TheRealDeal" and then continue on to say I like Cam Newton but you bet if we drafted him AND he plays "good" I'll be hating?

Not one part of that makes sense. Not one.

I get it now. Gabbert, Luck, Dalton, etc are too smart for you to relate to them so you need a QB who is as dumb as you to be a fan.

Got it

I compared Newton to Luck by play on the field I believe I said he outperformed him. Not sure if that was here not going back to look. Yea I'd love to hear about Luck outperforming Newton. I'm not asking who has the best fundamentals. Who did more for their team? Not Luck or any other quarterback.

ex. Luck can pass 1000 a game 100%completion, if it ending up with a W in the championship, what difference does it make?

I don't care if you are nice to me one bit. The fact that you think your attitude toward me matters at all shows how delusional you are.

Hint: Don't take any of this poo serious. I don't know any of you in real life and you don't know me. I'm sure if we met I'd buy you a beer, we'd laugh, we'd be buddies and root for the Panthers and all but it's a message board. It's designed for people to argue, don't take it personal, I don't hate you, I hate your opinions because they are usually wrong.

I'm going to try and be nice in this one because I'm not really sure if you understand things like this.

In college, the talent level is a little less than the NFL. See, every year, thousands of college players try to advance their careers and move up to the NFL but it's a harsh reality for the majority of them when they don't make it. The game is different when you are playing with the big boys.

Sure Cam played in a traditionally strong conference but even the majority of those players get left behind because they aren't good enough.

Not saying this is my belief but this is why some people could believe that fundamentals and such matter more than production.

In college, many of these offenses are designed on speed and having superior talent compared to the opposition. In the NFL that doesn't really work because there is general parity among teams. Players are overall bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter at the NFL level so you can't always beat them with raw athleticism but sometimes you need to have refined skills, which few would argue Cameron is at this moment.

All of Cam's natural abilities might help him down the road but for him to truly reach his potential, this ceiling that most people believe is high in the sky (me included), he needs to fine tune his craft. He needs to take that block of ice he is given and sculpt the goose out of it. He needs to work on his fundamentals and then finely tune them.

:confused:Why are you so impressed by a kid beating lesser opponents with good fundamentals and not impressed by the kid beating better opponents with fundamentals and raw ability. Most people don't know this because they wait for Mcshay to tell them what to think, but Luck has footwork and throwing concerns too. he just came out of a pro offense like Jimmy Clausen.

Don't assume I'm impressed with Luck.

Stanford played a tougher schedule than Auburn did.

Saying Cam has fundamentals is arguable at best.

I'd say Luck has a throwing motion quirk but not really a concern.

He's also a very smart kid.

He has no red flags.

He knows how to go through multiple progressions.

He's fairly athletic.

Etc.

I just tried to explain it to you, they aren't necessarily my feelings on the matter.

Oh Ok I thought you were impressed by Luck. You're right on everything but the schedule, can you package some of that stuff you're smoking
