Yasinskas Speculation: "Real Chance" Smith is Traded

I agree with you. But I don't see our FO giving him up for that low a pick.

Unless he pulls a Palmer then we might dump him for any value.

I do, if he and Rivera didn't quite see eye to eye (which we can infer as possible, but no one actually knows).

Easy...

Fitzgerald

A. Johnson

Wayne

Welker

White

Marshall

C. Johnson

I'd be iffy on Ochocinco these days. Stats aside, I'm not so sure about Wayne anymore.

Surprised you left DeSean Jackson off that list though. Dwayne Bowe might be in the argument too.

Edit: You meant Calvin Johnson. I was thinking you were using Chad's real name

I'm sure the guy with a smitty pic in his avatar is completely objective here right guys

Yeah I'm sorry I like to support our players rather than call them finished when they haven't had the fair opportunity to show that.

And Colbert would've been a great WR for us if he knew how to catch

Colbert probably would have been pretty good if he didn't get bone spurs and half ass his game. Foster had the talent to be a great RB, if he had never been injured maybe he'd just now be replaced.

Emmit Smith is the all time rushing leader. But Barry Sanders is better.

You think Jerry would have been the legend he is without Montana?

Ochocinco? Wow. I hope he was talking about Calvin Johnson.

if you wait until they have absolutely 100% proven that they are completely finished in the league then they have zero trade value. smart teams trade guys before they hit that point.

Let's really get this straight. So, you say that Smith is not a top 5 WR even though he has proven differently as long as there is an NFL QB throwing the ball...ok....I'll let you believe that.....but do you really think trading a proven 1000 plus yard per season WR for a 3rd or 4th round pick is a good idea?

If Smith does stay, there's a good possibility it's in a reduced role, perhaps as a number three. And honestly, that might be for the best.

Much as we all may like him, objectively speaking, he isn't what he once was.

(and basing plans for the season on the idea that he will be is probably a mistake)

One thing is for certain. (Well like 98%) If he goes, Green is the pick.

I do not believe this to be true.

I think if Smith is gone, then the Panthers intend to draft Newton or Gabbert, both of which would be a huge mistake. Smith will not WASTE another season playing with a rookie QB and I don't blame him. If they don't find a veteran QB, then Smith is gone, but not because the Panthers don't want him, but because he's already wasted one season with a rookie QB and he only has a few seasons left.

Really?

Are you guys all on crack?

Smith had a rookie QB throwing side armed floaters last season and now he's done? He had 1000 yards with a beat down Delhomme in 2009. He is only 31. He has atleast 2-4 more 1000 yard seasons in him.
