Yasinskas Speculation: "Real Chance" Smith is Traded

Mr. Scot

No he isn't. Even w/ a good QB he flat out has lost a gear or two.....and that is huge given his style of play. All things being equal.....there are just younger and better WRs now in the league.

He is a 32 yr old (will be)who has been in the league for 10 yrs.......that ain't prime time.

Name 5 WRs that are better than Steve Smith. Don't tell me who is going to be better or who had a great year last year, name 5 WRs BETTER period.

2010 most yards for a WR makes those WRs the best? Wow.

We haven't had a QB in 2 years. Here's Smith's 2008 yardage when he had a Qb throwing the ball to him.

By the way, I don't agree that most yards received indicates that the WR is the best only the most targeted, meaning a capable QB who can throw...Carolina doesn't have one of those.

Easy...

Fitzgerald

A. Johnson

Wayne

Welker

White

Marshall

C. Johnson

I'll give you Fitzgerald and A. Johnson.

Wayne and Welker have the best Qbs in the league thowing them the ball, they are a product of the Qb and ANY decent WR will have great numbers if Manning or Brady is throwing the ball.

White had a great 2010 and he had a great QB throwing the ball...he was too great a couple years ago.

Marshall may be as good as Smith, but he quit on Denver, so that alone tells me he's a punk.

C. Johnson, the jury is still out.

Try again.

So you're saying Smith is good when we have a good QB throwing to him but dismiss Wayne, White, and Welker because they have a good QB throwing to them? So that must mean Smith is no good because he is only good when he has a good QB throwing to him. Nice contradiction.

Btw, White went over 1300 yards last season. Second time in his career. And when did Calvin Johnson ever have a QB? And your excuse for Marshall is pathetic.

You've been exposed, but nice try at seeming like you know what you're talking about though.

OK, but if:

you're not in the Top 50 in yards,

not in the Top 50 in receptions,

not in the Top 100 in TD's,

not in the Top 142 in yards per catch,

You're not a Top 5 receiver by any stretch of the imagination.

You're using 2010 stats for a team that was 2-14 and didn't have a starting NFL QB.

If Smith had a REAL NFL Qb throwing the ball to him, he would have been at the top of all the stats.

So any time Smith does good is because the QB is good and Smith is just a product of the QB throwing to him. Got it.

Yeah. If you give a carpenter a nail and no hammer, see how long it takes for him to hammer the nail.
