At what point do you stop getting called "young man"?

definitely depends on the person you are talking to. if they are grayer than you, then you are the young man.

Then of course there's the situation where one old guy sees another and say, "How have you been, young man?" So to answer your question, never.

Yeah, usually the people that still refer to me as young man are like 80... the same people that would call my dad young man.

I always have to ask a lady how old she is and they eat it up every time...

I agree, on occasion when talking to an elderly man I will call him a "young fella" although respectfully.
