Yes...we should only talk about Cam. A run first QB who can't read defenses...can't make progressions. who takes off if his primary receiver is not open...who only takes snaps in the shotgun. Yes, he is the savior.

Like every other run first QB (Vick, Smith, etc.) that has come out....he is going to change the game. Guess what...he won't.

Unless he learns to be a pass first QB like Vick did (and yes it took 10 damn years for him to do that), he will be nothing more than a highlight reel that does not win poo.

First of all I think Vick did change the way teams play his team. More often than not Vick also lead his team to NFC championship game. Looking at his career as a fail is crap. you every thought maybe the reason he didnt do as well in atlanta was because of the supporting cast or coaching?

I highly Dout he suddenly learned how to read defenses in jail,or learn to do so in just one season with the eagles. About cam not reading defenses, who said he can't read defenses? Because looking at his number of interceptions would say otherwise.

Yes he took most of his snaps out of shotgun but so did Brady and manning. The NFL is evolving, this isn't the 70s. The game pro game is mimicking the college game in a lot of aspects. Taking snaps from under center isn't neRly as important as it use to be.

No Matt Moore and Clausen are the saviors. Worst QB tandem in the league, and our fans have latched on emotionally to guys who cant do their job. You'll never see Bobcats fans demand to keep scrubs around. We actually want to see our team improve, especially if its the lowest scoring team in the league.

Ive never heard Cam or Vick or any of these guys refer to themselves as "run first QBs". The Aaron Rodgers, Steve Youngs, and Joe Montanas can rack up rushing yardage and scrambles as QBs and no one ever tries to put a "box" on them. Calling Cam a "run first QB" is like me calling Jerry Richardson a "dumb redneck", not really based on fact, and says a lot more about me.

Looks like we're humbling ourselves to that fact. Hatter you need to accept Cam as your savior and as your favorite QB. That is all.

Thread went from Gabbert sucking to Newton & race...back on track...

Gabbert is not worth our number 1 pick in this draft along with that other guy. We could still draft em' but Dareus/Peterson/Green are the best players in this draft.

Gabbert isn't as bad as the people rag on him say he is and isn't as good as the media claims he is. So, it kinda balances off and I consider him a 10-20 round 1 pick...but he could easily be taken earlier and that's pretty much it.
