just read on carolinagrowl.com that peppers said if the tag is put on him the first thing hell do is request a trade. and when asked if a trade cannot be reached will he hold out? he said i dont know..

Didn't really say anything new except asked his fans for forgiveness and he is still very interested in playing for some teams that run a 4-3.

Julius Peppers just completed a conference call lasting approximately 20 minutes with reporters, including The Observer’s Charles Chandler and Tom Sorensen.

We’ll have a full transcript up soon, but here are some highlights

(x) Peppers said if the Panthers put their franchise tag on him, he’ll immediately as for a trade. He wouldn’t speculate on how he would respond if the Panthers tag him and try to force him to play next season.

(x) Peppers said he had no issue with coach John Fox or any of the Panthers’ former defensive assistants, but that he merely wanted a change of scenery after spending seven seasons in Carolina.

(x) He wouldn’t say which teams he’s interested in playing for next, but that he remains intrigued by playing in a 3-4 defense.

i hate to see him leave...but i cant wait for him to go. sounds like the whole conference was stuff we already know
