Actually it would be smart in the longterm...both QBs have issues that need to be worked out before they set foot on an NFL field.

I believe Panthers do not need Fairly and DE.

However, I believe Panthers really do need Gabbert. I'm up for that.

I would be disappointed with any Fairley or any DE. I've warmed slightly to the idea of Gabbert, but still not my preference. If the FO picks him, I'll be behind him from the start. Fairley or a DE would take some time to support...like after preseason and I see them dominate. Anything less than total domination from Fairley or DE would make me disappointed.

My preference would be to trade down a few spots, take whoever is left of Green, Peterson, Dareus and then take Mallett in the 2nd. But there's plenty of other options for this mythical 2nd we'll pick up too, like Marvin Austin, Kyle Rudolph, Stephen Paea, probably a number of people mocked in the 1st right now that will fall.

I would support whoever the organisation chooses, but right now, I don't like Newton. Sorry boys, I've jumped off the bandwagon. I hope he proves me wrong, but right now, he's scaring me.
