Sorry to hear. No offense, your friend sounds like a fuging asshole, good riddance. That is how you should feel IMO. fug em. Not a real man or human for that matter, not worthy of any afterthoughts. As far as his family...very sad indeed. Time doesn't heal these kind of things.

Yeah, my sadness isnt for him at all, just for his family and other friends. Most Wanted is trying to get us to go to the funeral this afternoon, but I just cant do it. Denny, the President of Most Wanted is so F'd up, right now. They were the best of friends and did everything together. I feel like I should be there for him, but I cant go to a funeral to mourn a murderer. No matter who they are.

I can see them helping his family and the girl's, but I'd draw the line at attending the funeral.

Yeah, you might know somebody but you never really know what kind of demons they are dealing with.

I'm very very sorry to hear this. Makes me sick to think that people are so shallow to take out their personal issues on their innocent family. Some people are great at putting up a facade to hide the problems they are dealing with...and that is the most scary to me because they can just snap one day with no warning.

Like others have said already, being open and honest with your children and letting them know that this kind of thing will never ever happen to them is reassuring. All the best.
