Me too. Or how Mallett or Cam did. I hate being in the dark. I still think it is weird Rivera and Hurney weren't there today. Actually could be a good or bad sign. Good bc maybe they were like, we know you can throw the ball or bad if they just aren't interested enough.

I just find it odd. If they were serious about him I would think they would be trying to get as much info as possible.

If they weren't interested they wouldn't bring him in for a private workout. So there's interest there. It's possible they are trying to throw people off and make them think we want Gabbert when we really don't care for him at all but I think at this point all of the personal interviews are legit.

As you said, they may figure they know how he can throw either way... Perhaps his arm isn't a question, and maybe they can get footwork reads from their scouts. I do not think Gabbert heading into his pro day had the same kind of questions about his passing ability that Cam Newton did.

Still seems weird. With the number one pick we don't have to be too deceptive with our scouting and would rather have as much info as possible on a QB coming from a spread offense and a dinking and dunking offense over being deceptive about our interest.

We don't know if Shula and/or Chud were there. I would be flat out astonished if the Panthers didn't bring any coaches or whatever there but I guess it is possible.

McShay says Blaine Gabbert does not have Cam Newton or Ryan Mallett's arm strength, but it's still "very good."

Good point. McShay said on ESPN when he was on he didn't see any of our people there. But remember that doesn't mean they weren't. Just means McShay didn't see us :)

What it sounds to me is that the panthers private workout is what going to matter to them about Gabbert. I guess they let him run the routes they we will see alot in our new offense and we know his arm isnt that good.But can he be accurate enough to make the throws. I really think thats what Carolina wants to see. And go back and compare and contrast the workouts with Newton and finish up on film Evaluation and find out witch one they like the best.

I have a feeling the Bills aren't trading their pick. They will take Gabbert or Newton depending on who is available or go defense and let Fitz continue to develop. I don't think they are so in love with one of these guys they are going to give up draft picks for em.

I dont either I feel that the pick we should watch is the Bengals. I think the Bills will take who ever that is there weather its newton or gabbert. Maybe the Titans try to trade up to us.But other then that I think thats it. I cant see a big trade an you cant trade players either unless there is a deal before the draft.
