I kind of think this is a big deal. If you are at least thinking of taking a guy number one you want to be in their hip pocket every step of the way. Their is no need to posture and make it seem like you don't want someone that badly as to not show up at their pro day. If they had not gone to Newton's I would have wondered about that too.

He could be a very good QB. But just not with Carolina I really dont think he fits what we want to do. The offense at Mizzou was a quick one read offense also. If the guy was wide open he will hit him witch is good. But if you look at it the guys was wide open on 5 to 10 yard routes, he didnt stay in the pocket long enough to make the read.He just got it out way to early. Kind of reminds you of captain check down Clausen. In there offense they will have some drives of 12 plays but for only 40 yards. In a spread in a college system and most team CB dont even press. That is hard he should of had way more production then that. It kind of leave questions. A west Coast team will probably fit him well. And he might be a pretty good QB in Buffalo. Who knows but if im Carolina I will probably look at more into Newton and Mallet just in case they trade down Mallet will be an option..
