Frustration

Hawk

got a bag full of new sticks and there's no end to winter so I can't get out and try them!!!!

who wants to sponsor me for a trip to Charlotte to play some golf?:D

I feel your pain Hawk. I bought a new set along with a new fairway wood and new putter and 8 days later I tore my bicep muscle from the bone. No golf for 6-12 months.

I got tired of seeing the clubs everytime I walked out to my garage so I threw a sheet overtop of them hoping for "out of site / out of mind" but it doesn't work, especially when it is 70 degrees and I know all my golf buddies are playing.

So what did you buy?

75 in the ILM on saturday. i've thought about getting back into the game, but then i recall how expensive it is, and how much trouble it was for me to find my ball even when i hit the fairway.

April 15 for me JR... as of yesterday I am cleared to lift 5 whole pounds..., but after April 15 I am un-restricted and can lift and play golf again. I've been stretching it out when I do my exercises, but so far I've only got about 3/4 of a swing...

Yes Hawk, what clubs did you get and what did u pay?

I asked the doc if I could play this year and he said I could but I wouldnt be any good. I told him that would be no different than before the injury. :)

Yours is the shoulder right? Which one is it? Mine is my right arm and I am right handed which I would think is better as far as returning to golf goes but not sure.

Left shoulder and I also swing righty... which really hurts my extension on the back swing... it's still really tight. It's gradually getting better though I can tell. Part of my daily exercises is my "practice" golf swing, trying to loosen it up in that direction. I've got almost 100% motion in the other directions...

I was at my dad's Monday, aka "the golf pimp" as he has about 100 golf clubs at his house... and he had this weighted swing aid, so I borrowed in and am going to incorporate it into my exercises as well.

Good luck with getting back out there.... my doc told me he doesn't want me hitting balls yet as if I hit one fat, it could re-tear that repair and I really don't want that. I can chip around the yard a bit and putt, but I've only done it a bit... now that the weather is nicer and the time has changed, I plan on doing a lot more.
