Yep, the church I previously attended (I don't at all now) frowned on even one sip... "what if someone saw you..." was always the line...

yeah, guess who doesn't get to order wine or anything when at dinner with my parents. It offends my mother because someone might see her and it hurt her testimony. fug it, it's not worth family strife.

Yes, someone might see her at a table near wine and, MY GOD, she might have partaken... :lol:

No, I get it... it's silly, but that's what some people believe so whatever.

I was SHOCKED when my FiL suggested a wine to my wife about three weeks ago... he goes to a similar church but I guess with his new wife and all, he's loosened his stance on such things...

sorry that's just funny to me. Wine=evil. Divorce and remarrying not so much, even though that was condemned directly by Jesus in the Bible.

ps. if his wife died and they didn't get divorced then my bad :o
