Why we CANNOT pick Patrick Peterson.

edit: haha, I get it. =P

"I hope I can be in play for the first pick, but it is what it is. The Panthers have the final say-so," Peterson said. "I don't pay too much attention to the mock drafts. I'm just looking to get drafted and to put myself and the team who picks me in the position to win games."

Who and what?

I'm just saying...

CB is a relative nonessential position in what our schemes will be... Take into consideration that over the past several years in a similar scheme we've been able to plug and play just about anyone back there with good-enough success if not above average production...

BPA or not, you have to address your needs... CB is not really a need right now...

If you're going to go BPA for need on Defense, it will be Fairley or Dareus... and that will probably be a mistake when you basically are coming off one of the worst offensive performances in the history of the NFL...

My prediction is still AJ Green with a chance of Newton or Gabbert... I tend to shy away from the QB spot for now, just because we still have Clausen, Moore, and Pike, and I don't see an AJ Green in the draft next year, while there is an Andrew Luck...

So having a top flight db isn't a need? I gotta asume you ignored gamble's down year, think marshall is really better than he is, and will be returning a panther, and finially, as much as I love the captain, his size gets taken advantage of by dominate, big receivers.

You must bee ignoring the fact that our return game can use a big upgrade.

Yeahh, your right, petersons ability doesn't fit any of our needs. How silly of me.

I would neg rep you, but its not worth my time.. Hes BPA for sure. I'd draft him because he makes an impact for us directly as a rookie on Defense and Special teams.

you would neg rep me for that? did you actually read the first sentence of paragraph 3 or do you just have no sense of humor whatsoever?

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
