What if the Panthers DON'T draft a QB?

Considering the decision has not been made yet, amazing confidence and resolve in your presentation of opinion as complete fact. There for a minute, I thought you had a link or source to support such a devout proclamation, but it did not follow.

A proclamation!!!

all players can bust

Peterson and Dareus are about as close as you can get as a sure thing though.

I agree and I would say that we need a CB more than most people realize. I would also say PP7 is the most NFL ready prospect in the draft. I also realize how bad we need DT's.

What I can't agree with is that I'll be happy next season knowing we only got blown out by 10 points per game instead of 20 because we got a kick ass Defensive rookie.

There is no moral victory in "Well the Falcons swept us again this year but at least Roddy white didn't get a catch"

i am with kennypowers30. if the panthers pass up newton/gabbert, then it will be for a superior defensive prospect in all likelihood. that will mean peterson, dareus, fairley, or one of the young DEs will be a panther. it's a good problem to have, really.

I'd rather not draft a QB if it's not with the 1st pick. I'm starting to come around somewhat to the idea of taking Gabbert, but would still MUCH prefer Newton.

I must be the only one who doesn't think next year's QB class is better than what's available right here and now. Luck aside, of course, as I'd take him over any QB prospect since Manning himself, but that's a moot point considering we'll never get the 1st pick two years running.

If we decide to go with Dareus, Peterson, or Green I'll be ok with that, even if I'll be disappointed we didn't take Newton. However, I'll be disappointed if we take Bowers, Quinn, or Fairley, as I think all 3 are busts waiting to happen.
