What if the Panthers DON'T draft a QB?

That trade down is a sweet deal. I would give the Panthers an A++++ if they could get that deal done with the Bengals. With their current pick, we would still have a chance to get Peterson (if not Fairley or Marcell), and then have a second this year and another first next year.

If there's no football this year, and we end up with the first overall again next year (and the Bengals first next year, which would be third overall), we would then draft Luck and hopefully draft Alshon Jeffery. All in all we would have Peterson, Luck, and Jeffery. Talk about a dynasty in the making.

yea lets draft more defense that'll fix the worst offense in the league. You saw how we came out sand said we'd take no trades for luck this year, even if we had 3 first round picks next year we still wouldn't be able to land luck unless we have the first overall pick. Bark still has somethings to prove in my eyes, never know what might happen next year he could be this years locker.

We have no idea where we will draft next year or who ultimately will be available or at what position. Locker who was a top 10 pick last year dropped while Luck who was the consensus number 1 this year wasn't even a top 20 guy last year.

I agree with a vet signing and think we need to pick up a QB in the draft. If Clausen is great then we have our backup or a good trade. If we find our franchise guy in the draft this year and get a chance to pick up Luck next year we can trade away our pick and get even more than we could this year. If we draft high next year meaning we have a decent year this year we wouldn't have gotten a great pick anyway.

It makes little sense to put things off in most any scenario.

By that logic, then some random JUCO kid we've never heard of could be the next almighty Cam Newton. Why not just wait and get a younger (and hopefully whiter ) Cam?

On that list I would go with Landry Jones... His development in the last 2 years has been pretty significant... I think he'll be a great QB.

I agree. He is impressive and will fly below the radar with Luck coming out.

It doesnt matter, we will. Our first pick will be Cam.

Considering the decision has not been made yet, amazing confidence and resolve in your presentation of opinion as complete fact. There for a minute, I thought you had a link or source to support such a devout proclamation, but it did not follow.
