NFLPA Said --VS--NFL/Owners Said

No, Smith's role won't change really.

Being completely serious here, but how is this so?

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees are the ones suing the NFL. Shouldn't they, and their lawyers, be the ones that "represent" the players now since the union, which formerly represented the players, is no longer a union?

If he's able to remain in charge, then it seems to my untrained eye that he is essentially still the head of a workers union (representing the players) even though they supposedly no longer exist.

Reading these two statements is like watching a facebook fight between two redneck bitches arguing over how the one should get more child support from their mutual baby daddy over the other.

Except they're all grown men.

And they're supposed to be intelligent.

And they're all already fabulously filthy fuging rich.

I'm actually so disgusted by this, I'm really wondering if I ever care to watch an NFL game again (well, at least not run by these fuging bitches.)

If the owners were smart they would take this opportunity and run with it. Don't lock out. Go forward with no rules governing all 32 teams and let them all act and recruit players as independent businesses. Let the vet min become 7.25 an hour and lets see how long the players continue to act like they are the equals to the owners in the board room.

If the players were smart, they'd pool their money, rent out their alumni stadiums on Sunday, & become a self owned league!

(just thought I'd create some lawyer porn.)

Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, co-chairman of the NFL owners' labor committee, urged everyone to remain positive and patient.

"This is a time for our fans not to be discouraged," Richardson said. "No anger and friction between the players and the teams. It has been actually a real learning experience for all of us. In due course, we'll have an agreement."

Problem with this is teams like the Panthers would become perennial bottom dwellers while the Giants and Cowboys would always be at the top.

Actually the Mara family didn't make Forbe's cut of richest owners...

Seahawks ---- Paul Allen --------- 13.5b

Buccaneers -- Malcolm Glazer --- 2.6b

Rams --------- Stanley Kroenke --- 2.6b

Cowboys ----- Jerry Jones -------- 2b

Patriots ------ Robert Kraft ------- 1.5b

Ravens ------- Steve Bisciotti ---- 1.5b

Texans ------- Robert McNair ----- 1.4b

Colts --------- Jim Irsay ---------- 1.4b

Falcons ------ Arthur Blank ------ 1.3b

Chargers ----- Alex Spanos ------- 1.1b

Redskins ----- Dan Snyder -------- 1.1b

Titans ------- Bud Adams --------- 1.1b

Eagles ------- Jeff Lurie ---------- 1b

Saints ------- Tom Benson ------ 1b

Looks like now we know why JR wants to get this done ASAP

Thanks Kurb for putting in the players' side as well.

Now then, reading both statements, it's obvious that both sides are stretching the truth to a degree. I'm more on the side of the players, but I too join the calls in "fugging them all!"

KurB NEWS FAIR, BALANCED, AWESOME
