The owners made all of the concessions over the past 2 weeks while the NFLPA did nothing, including not responding to the 150 page complete new CBA proposal the owners presented to the union last week.

Of the beginning $9B difference, the split had been whittled down to the final $600M and they couldn't get it done.

The owners are under no obligation to "open their books." NFL teams are privately owned corporations and no privately owned company I've ever heard of releases their financial information. I'm confounded the players don't realize this simple fact. The next time Drew Brees needs to hire a nanny, does that mean the nanny should demand to see the financial records of the Brees family to determine how much he/she nanny wants to be paid? '

Okay, players, you got what you wanted. Now, because you no longer have a union to back you and go to bat for you, go hire your own lawyer to fight the NFL- and hope your pockets are deep enough.
