Battle LA

Operative word being "movie". :)

But I agree. The types of things we are doing in Japan do help the image of our military, and our nation as a whole.

I didn't notice that you used that word

I get your point though

i haven't seen it yet but based on reading the tag lines i'm assuming it's basically independence day (aliens invade, through trials and tribulations we figure out how to defeat them) with 10x better special effects minus will smith's charisma

Kind of... honestly it's a lot less of a sci fi movie than it is a straight up war movie.

I have download links for the movie. Cam recorded, but it is decent quality. It's in three files and you will have to wait an hour between downloads. But hey it's free fugers! PM if you want it. All you need is a media player or VLC player to watch.

Saw it. The first half had me hooked. This area is my stomping ground, I've lived in the coastal areas of LA/SD counties for most of my life and they nailed the setting damn well even though it was shot in baton rouge.

The action was pretty good, very chaotic and similar to war movies, but after awhile it gets mind numbing. I feel like this film deserved a better script and direction and I wish they hadn't simply just aimed it at the cash cow PG-13 crowd. An R-rating would have helped, but for $100 million dollar movie it looks damn good. I still enjoyed it though, worth the ticket if you like sci-fi/monster movies.
