this is what needs to be hammered into people who are so upset about our DTs. look at who Rivera had starting last year on the #1 defense in the league. a journeyman 6th rounder.

if anybody wants to look at any one position on that defense, they really don't have anybody you'd consider elite. but the cohesiveness of that unit was really sound in 2010, especially in the face of losing guys like Cromartie and the rapid decline of Shawne Merriman, two prior superstar defensive players

also consider that san diego is just one of those teams that really builds through the draft in general, and it should be no surprise richardson chose him when you realize that. They also have consistency at the QB position
