FYI on the Newton Debate

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Like when he provided this deep football analysis in regards to Cam:

Very football related

Yeah, just like this:

I've used "dumbass" on here plenty. This was not a special occasion. In this case though, I edited the "dumbass" and "stupid" stuff out because, after reading it I thought, "that's too harsh and I don't want to say that".

But he did, and then edited it out because he wanted to continue to portray this fake ass objective, fair-minded persona.

Or

And I don't really care whether you think Billick is racist or not, or whether you think Billick is a good judge or not. What I find silly is the notion that everybody who doesn't think Newton is the second coming does so for personal reasons.

Again, find me one single shred of evidence that Billick has any personal feelings about Newton. Or I'll save you the trouble. It doesn't exist, but you make it out like that because you think anyone who criticizes him must dislike him, and frankly, that's a pretty stupid thought process.

Saying keep it football related then telling me to go seek out proof of personal feelings then calls the "thought process" stupid.

Sure, we all personally hate a kid we've never met and will likely never have any personal dealings with. It has absolutely nothing to do with feeling like he isn't the best choice for the #1 pick. We hate him because...well...we just hate him.

Contradicting himself in about 3 sentences time. But, tells the truth nonetheless. Can't provide reasons as to why, so he scrambled to make another thread to bring attention to himself as an authority on the issue and then make up his new criteria as to why he doesn't like him as he gets replies.

Message board rep doesn't mean jack in my real life. I've got too many real world things to deal with to worry about "message board rep". And if I cared that much whether people liked what I say or not, I wouldn't post anything controversial (or I'd jump on the Cam Train with so many others).

So, was he referring to your tenure here as reasons that your opinion isn't valid? Funny, I thought he didn't care about that stuff and he's here just to talk football... weird.

But, I guess now we're only supposed to talk football. He can insult you, but you just talk football.

Yeah it will be okay. Once this guy owns up to his own bullsh*t and stop acting like he hasn't contributed to the mindless, wheel spinning debates.

That was my point. Everyone gets dragged in whether they like it or not and you can't hold it against them. It's better to judge posters what they say regularly not when they slip up that one time.

Meh. This is between you two and I like both of you so I just don't see why there is such a problem.

Honestly I think Cam has all the talent in the world but do I want him. HELL NO. The reasons:

1) He is crook. Stealing a computer when at UF. Thats not someone who I want to be the face of my franchise.

2) I dont like his family. I know people will say you cant judge people based on their families but if his dad is blackmailing schools to get his son. I know this is generalizing, but bad families usually create bad kids.

3) I dont think he is smart enough to be a NFL QB. Just listening to him talk and seeing how he has worked with 3 big time QB coaches and still has so many problems, then I dont think he is smart enough.

4) I can see him being really just wanting to be an icon. He is going to have a big "possy", waste money, go to strip clubs, its just asking for trouble.

I know I am generalizing on a lot of these topics but I have just seen it time and time again and I cant see him being a big time QB.

Wow...

Cast the first stone why don't you. I personally did stupid things as a teenager. I'm glad everybody isn't my s#@t and not letting the past be just that. Guess what, most people have done stupid stuff at a young age. BTW he bought the computer from somebody. We should all strive to measure up to your moral character.

The SEC has been giving players and their families money for years. Auburn wanted him badly enough to do it (there is still no solid proof) and they got what they wanted a dominant performance and a championship.

#4  A classic "thug" reference from the owner of a crystal ball.

#3 another borderline assumption that needs to be posted in Zod's Cam thread, it belongs there.

I appreciate it, but it becomes a personal issue when someone calls insults you and your intelligence for not agreeing with their opinion. That's why it's a problem. He attacked me for saying I didn't put a lot of weight in what Billick or Jack f*cking Trudeau said.

Funny thing is, I've been on this board since day one, and since Mr. Scot came a few years later IIRC, I've never had a problem with him. EVER. So, who is letting personal feelings get in the way of real football discussion? I was cool with him, as I am everyone else, until they insult me.
