Mayock has Locker above Newton

Recommended Posts

There's a decent chance Clausen would open the season or at least preseason as the starter. Wouldn't be surprised if he played in the regular season for some time either, depending on how bad he was.

This. Cam will be infinitely more talented but it probably wouldn't be fair to Newton or Gabbert to just throw them out there. A whole season on the sideline would be best. But at least a partial season would be needed.

39-6 as a starter.

That's a lot more starts than other "winners"............

How many starts do other good QBs have?

Rodgers: 21

Vick:roughly 20

Brady: 25

Manning: 45

Rivers:51

Ben: 38

Flacco:26

All of them started at least 2 seasons. Maybe starts are the only way to determine NFL success.

Who said winning was the only way to determine success?? I said it was a prerequisite.

I don't worry too much about the one season thing. It is a valid point though so I don't want to just dismiss it. But there is enough film on him for the GMs to do their homework. If they can't figure it out with 14 games worth of tape they shouldn't be working in NFL front offices.

The line of thinking is that it's easier to hide things for one season than it is for multiple seasons.

Plus you don't have the extra 6, 7, or 30 games reading defenses (not sure those 30 extra would have mattered ;)) and understanding different defensive schemes and all that time spent hones your skills more.

That's a fair point.

Fall back Teeray, I got this. I've read enough post on this site to learn the "can't get it through my thick head" language.

TRD,JOAT, and MAV this is for you fellas

QB's that have big shiny superbowl rings have won the majority of their college career

QB's that lose in college lose in the NFL

its not required but its common sense if you suck in college good chance you will suck in the pros

Fail?

Teeray you are back in. You are light years better than this dude at trying to make rational posts.

But again, that's like saying Cam is better at passing than The Golden Calf of Bristol was

is this really rocket science or do you hate Cam so much your just in denial

ps I'm not the kinda of guy to change my words to make you feel comfortable. you either get or you dont

like teeray said name a superbowl QB that couldnt win in college. I'll be here

That's such a terrible argument

Name a superbowl QB that had 6% body fat?

Name a superbowl QB who had more than 20 rushing attempts per game in college?

It's not about winning because plenty of people have won, it's about what made you win aka tools.
