Mayock has Locker above Newton

Recommended Posts

Cutler had a BIG TIME losing record in college. And my personal opinion on Cutler is that he kinda sucks.

Freeman also had a losing record in college and I think he is great.

The other 13 or so top QB's in the league were big time winners in college. Not NC winners but big time winners nonethless

DO you understand how stupid your argument is?

Do you know how many winners never make it?

How about you try not going full retard on us and put some thought in. It's not that they won, it's why they won. The actual winning means nothing, absolutely nothing.

More often than not, it's the tools that allowed them to win that are still allowing them to win in the NFL.

Leak won, but he didn't have the tools to win in the NFL.

You go from being semi-tolerable to full retard in 3.2 posts

Didn't Jay Cutler have a losing record at Vanderbilt?

That's different though. Vanderbilt will never be able to compete in the SEC. That's like Duke trying to compete against the SEC in football.

Besides, what has Cutler won so far? His offense sucked when they couldn't run the ball.

I wouldn't make any bets on those being the only other options.

We can argue hypothetical situations all day, but if we draft Cam and those are the other two QBs on the roster this fall, I don't think it's any strech of the immagination to think that Newton will be starting.

Sadly they both beat him out his rookie year

Objectively speaking, there's no guarantee of that either. That ssumes he transitions to the pro game quickly. Not many QBs do.

I think Cam could definitely start as a rookie. Obviously he's not going to be an effective passing QB but he can create enough unique plays with his legs to have some success. We have the running game and the o-line to put around him. It's going to be extremely difficult to keep him off the field.
