OK, not really (only in my mind), but my question to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune did get selected for his reader questions column this week.

I think the Bears should make a move for Packers' receiver James Jones. What do you think? Dave Bentley, Charlotte, N.C.

Not a bad thought. At 6-1, 208 pounds and with excellent speed, Jones would give the Bears a dimension they don't have at the receiver position. And acquiring him would hurt the Bears' primary rival. On the down side, Jones has had inconsistent hands at times. But this is a young player who I believe has not played his best football. Jones could develop into a very good NFL starter.

I do think it would add a dimension to the Bears' offense and give Cutler a taller WR, which he obviously prefers

I also think Cutler is a big part of the problem...not as much a Clausen though of course.
