What a long day..

not a good day.

1st the school acts like it it was not a big deal and that the child who harmed my child just needs time with the guidance f**king counselor!!! The kid at this time is not suspended!!! R U f**kING KIDDING ME!!

The kid was kicked off the bus for 2 f**king days.

The school told me I cant demand the child be removed from his classes I will have to move my kid.WTF!!!!!!

2nd I did call the police and what a waste of time that was. The police told me due to the age of the child that they will not be able to do anything except take a report but no charges will be filed. I need to go to family court and ask the DA to press charges which he probably wont the child will just get probation.

3rd talked to my attorney and he said he will write a letter for me to give to the principal and see what happens (I spoke to him before the police came) He informed that I should contact the media if the school does nothing about this. He didnt seem like he wanted to go after the school just yet...I dont know

What a f**king day.

That really blows man, but I would go thru with the charges thing with the DA... even if the kid only gets probation if he pulls some poo again later, he will be in more trouble.

Good luck, that really sucks... I would follow thru on this thing until those people at the school got so sick of me that they would do something.

I can assume you have contacted the Divison of Child Services already, right? Parents that aren't financially secure and a young child who is left to his own devices and / or mentally unstable. That should be something that is investigated by them, and possibly have the child removed from their custody and placed in Foster Care. Especially if you have proof of drug-use or anything of that sort.

Sounds like these parents are complete crap and aren't in their child's best interests. If you feel bad about calling the DCS on them - don't. It may be the best thing for the kid in the long run, and in the short run, it may be a him or your kid situation.

Lot's of FAIL happened but I spoke to Lt Dunn today and he said he would file charges against the kid. He said he wouldn't go to the school and arrest him but he will do an investigation and contact me once he is done. He said I received bad info from the 1st officer so now I have to wait until tomorrow to see what I have to do next. DSS will also be notified by the police as well.

The bus driver said he didn't see the incident and wasn't sure why my kid was balling his head off with blood streaming down his neck...unreal.

I feel numb from this whole incident right now.

I tried to watch jackass tonight but couldn't even sit through it and I love Jackass movies.

My dad is about to go off the deep end he wants the principal fired, bus driver fired, assistant principal fired for not dealing with issue when we 1st complained and how they're handling it now and I cant help but agree with him. I have talked him out of going to the school by himself he would only get himself arrested.

this is mind boggling. i have seen more urgency at a bank if an old lady complains about her checking acct having an NSF fee.

im different on stuff like this.

DSS has to get involved with the "family" and talk thru some things. the kid still has a chance to be redirected which leads me to this.

Sports or something where his energies and angst and troubles can be peeled back. Counterintuitive solutions, specifically with troubled youth, is very helpful.

In my experience in dealing with kids like this, chances are he has been molested and might even be going thru that right now. That might seem like a leap but just the little I have read it points in that direction.

Another crazy angle that others might not take. I would NOT take my kid out of school. As Sheen says, defeat is not an option.

Yes there is safety but sorry, if all other options don't lead to DSS getting involved, that kid will have to go, not mine.

My oldest has had a tough time with this one boy the last 2 yrs. We have talked to the school but there are times where teachers are air heads and we had to go talk and go look yo, fix this or you are gonna see my face EVERYDAY until its fixed.
