What would you do if this was your child.

Sorry to hear about the situation. I'm going to throw this out there just to give you a heads up. The media is very fickled about what they deem to be a compelling story worthy of reporting. IF the family of the bully are minorities and/or disadvantaged in a socio/economic kind of way, the media may treat the story a little different than you might imagine. And that is just one example. You never know what can happen once you involve them and the backlash could be severe.

I would wait until the school has responded to your attorney before proceeding. You may want to find a friend or family member who has ties with your local board of education or superintendent and set up a time to talk about it. Seriously, who you know might help you in this situation. I've seen it directly in this circumstance. Nothing ticks off a principal more than having his/her decision overridden by a higher authority.

Do you know if he/they're legal?

The mother is white not sure if the dad is legal or not

not a reasonable outcome in my opinion...sorry to hear it

Thanks been a long hard day, had to get MRI after that and the drugs they gave me knocked me out for 2 hours

not knowing US law...can you open a civil suit against the family, without the cops pressing any charges? Cover your expenses and at least make them pay!

The parents have no money they just where evicted so it would be financially a waste of money and time.

What a long day..

not a good day.

1st the school acts like it it was not a big deal and that the child who harmed my child just needs time with the guidance fuging counselor!!! The kid at this time is not suspended!!! R U fugING KIDDING ME!!

The kid was kicked off the bus for 2 fuging days.

The school told me I cant demand the child be removed from his classes I will have to move my kid.WTF!!!!!!

2nd I did call the police and what a waste of time that was. The police told me due to the age of the child that they will not be able to do anything except take a report but no charges will be filed. I need to go to family court and ask the DA to press charges which he probably wont the child will just get probation.

3rd talked to my attorney and he said he will write a letter for me to give to the principal and see what happens (I spoke to him before the police came) He informed that I should contact the media if the school does nothing about this. He didnt seem like he wanted to go after the school just yet...I dont know

What a fuging day.

Ask to be put on the agenda for the next School Board Meeting. Go in front of board and let them know what is going on. I bet you get the school's attention. Principals are useless until the school board lights a fire under the superintendents a$$.
